Should You Wash Your Hair Before or After Shave?

You should wash your hair and face before shaving. When Hair hydrates, it swells and becomes easier to cut. But not to worry, Donnell's Salon has got you covered with the best professionals when it comes to shaving.

A: You don’t necessarily have to wash your hair just before coming to the salon. Coming to the salon 2-3 days after your last shampoo is generally fine.  A dirty hair or one filled with hair products makes it difficult for the stylist to know your hair in its natural state.

A: If you are very impressed with the service, you can consider tipping the hairdresser about 15%.  If you think you were offered poor service, however, you should report to the front desk and you may get a refund.

A: It is advisable to book a hair appointment 6-8 weeks in advance. It ensures that your stylist is not under a lot of pressure. Dates can be changed later if it is inconvenient for you.

A: We ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment.

Should you arrive late, we will do our best to keep to the arranged appointments. We may however have to reschedule if it affects other guests on the day.

A: You can report to your stylist or a member of our team if you’re unhappy about the result of the hair. We’ll do our best to alter the results till you’re impressed.

A: If you’re interested in getting hair extensions, you can schedule an appointment with our stylist or request a quote to determine our prices.

A: It is safe for a man to get a haircut every 2 to 3 months. If you think your hair is broken, however, it is advisable to cut it every 6 weeks.

A: A woman can get a haircut every 8 to 12 weeks to keep the hair healthy. You can cut the hair less frequently if you notice breakages or splits.
